What is the Bear Tartan kilt and why?

Over the last few years, the popularity of the kilt within the Bear community has significantly risen, with many men discovering the comfort and individuality of style that a kilt provides.

There is a misconception that the wearer has to be Scottish or of Scots descent to wear a kilt. This couldn't be further from the truth. The kilt can be worn by anyone and is regarded as a statement of association and identity towards a family, community or "clan", regardless of heritage.

With this in mind, we decided to design the Bear tartan, and using traditional kilt making methods, produce a kilt which will not only give members of the Bear community the opportunity to wear a kilt that relates to their lifestyle, but also contribute to the promotion of the identity of the Bear clan worldwide.

Also, the kilt is a great icebreaker at conferences and events and will definitely get you noticed!

Certified & registered by the Scottish Tartans Authority, the Bear tartan is now recognised as a official tartan.
